What to do between tales
Claim the chest beside Nib, identify your upgrade currencies, and use Quillgrave’s specialists before selecting another tale.

Claim the result of the attempt
- Return to Quillgrave’s central square.
- Find Nib, the merchant, and the reward chest beside him.
- Open the chest and review the resources awarded for the attempt. Difficulty, progress, enemies and puzzles influence the reported reward process; no fixed per-run payout is established here.
Sort the rewards by destination

Separate an expired augment from a missing permanent upgrade
Run-level augments are tied to the attempt. Quillgrave empowerments are the persistent layer. If an augment is absent after returning to the village, compare it with the source of the effect before assuming your Scribe or Outfitter purchase vanished.
Village exploration has practical value
The firsthand PTR report found free Outfitter Supplies around Quillgrave, including underwater locations and elevated ledges or structures. This establishes that the hub can contain preparation resources, not just menus. It does not establish a permanent, repeatable farming route or a fixed number of pickups for every build.
Return to the Book of Shadows
The reported route goes beyond the library and up the stairs toward the cave. The book handles difficulty and story selection. Its preview interface shows four story choices, but the October demo announcement only listed three playable tales; a visible icon is not proof that a tale was available in that test.
