Curiosities are the Antiquarian’s passive layer
Meryndel Songseeker grants access to curiosities in exchange for Lost Relics. Blizzard describes the system as passive effects that change how you approach a tale. The firsthand report places Lost Relics in the post-run chest beside Nib and describes ten special bonuses in the preview interface, with only two available to test in that demo.
The two numerically documented curiosities
| Curiosity | Reported effect | Condition and cost |
|---|---|---|
| Greywake's Journal | While you have no remaining lives, take 15% less damage and deal 15% more damage. | While you have no remaining lives; 2 Lost Relics to unlock in the reported PTR |
| Fairy Queen's Pillow | Recover at least 20 focus following combat. | Following combat; 2 Lost Relics to unlock in the reported PTR |
Greywake’s Journal requires the zero-life state
The Journal reports 15% reduced damage taken and 15% increased damage dealt while no extra lives remain. With an isolated 1,000-damage incoming hit, the stated reduction gives 850. With an isolated 1,000-damage outgoing hit, the stated increase gives 1,150. Those examples apply only when its condition is active and ignore other modifiers.
In multiplayer, Soul Wards are shared. Reaching the zero-Ward state affects both the rescue plan and this passive’s trigger, but the report does not establish that every other party effect or resource is shared identically.
Fairy Queen’s Pillow describes recovered Focus
The Pillow reports recovery of at least 20 Focus following combat. That is a minimum amount recovered, not a rule setting total Focus or maximum Focus to 20. Focus has no ordinary passive regeneration, so a post-combat recovery effect fills a specific gap in the resource system.
