What the Scribe is for
Thalannis Loretender exchanges Tales of Valor for class improvements. Blizzard describes these talents as changing the abilities used against your foes. The firsthand report shows the three archetypes together in the Scribe interface and describes 81 available improvements across it.
Scribe and class reference
| Class | Published kit themes | Detailed reference |
|---|---|---|
| Slayer | A weapon-focused hunter built around sword attacks, close shotgun pressure, mines and quick repositioning. | /classes/slayer/ |
| Inquisitor | A Light-based archetype combining repeated attacks, a moving slow, empowered casting and burning effects that can be detonated. | /classes/inquisitor/ |
| Witch | A spell-driven archetype using lightning, poison creatures, spiders, ravens, thorns and a temporary feline transformation. | /classes/witch/ |
Why an improvement count is not a complete build rule
A counter of 81 improvements describes the preview system’s available opportunities. It does not establish how many points a new character receives, every node’s maximum rank, which links are prerequisites or how refunding one rank affects another. A photographed 0/27 panel also needs context before it becomes a universal point-budget rule.
That distinction prevents a misleading calculator from marking impossible builds as valid. Our tool currently stores the 18 official ability bookmarks and a versioned share link; it does not claim to validate the complete Scribe tree.
How Tales of Valor fits into an attempt
Tales of Valor appears among the resource types available through the post-run reward process at Nib’s chest. It is not Bound Silver, Alkahest or Outfitter Supplies. Spend it with the class specialist instead of expecting the cosmetic store or armor service to accept it.
Run-level augmentations are a separate layer. Choosing an augment after filling the experience bar does not mean that exact augment has become a permanent Scribe improvement.
