What the Outfitter changes

The Outfitter improves the baseline attributes you bring into later attempts. The firsthand PTR report identifies the NPC as Kragg Stonefist and the required resource as Outfitter Supplies. This is separate from the Scribe’s class-specific improvements and the temporary augment chosen after a run level.

What the interface count does and does not mean

The inspected report describes 223 available upgrades in this preview interface. That is a reported total of upgrade opportunities, not a starting stat value, a guarantee of 223 talent points or a documented cost curve. Per-rank costs and gains need their own current tooltips.

Choose the stat that answers the actual problem

If Health is the limiting pool, more Energy does not create passive healing. If Focus is empty, a larger maximum does not automatically refill it. If you want more frequent critical hits, critical strike chance is the relevant concept; critical strike damage changes the size of a critical hit instead. These distinctions matter before comparing upgrade prices.

Where supplies come from

The end-of-run chest beside Nib can contain Outfitter Supplies. The report also found supplies around Quillgrave itself, including elevated and underwater spots. Treat that as evidence that exploration can aid preparation, not a verified infinite farming route.
