What Bound Silver buys
Blizzard identifies Bound Silver as a Warband-bound currency earned through quests, achievements and progress in the Storyteller’s tales. It buys transmog and other cosmetic rewards from the Talebound store. Nib in Quillgrave is one access point; character selection and the Game Menu also expose the store.
Ducats and the specialist upgrade resources serve different steps in the progression loop. Bound Silver is not Energy, Focus or a substitute for Tales of Valor when buying a Scribe improvement.

Read names and source scopes carefully
The individual Veteran’s Ballad quest record asks for 150 foes; its name does not impose Veteran difficulty. The Hero’s Saga record asks for ten bosses. The two weekly labels above come from the PTR currency table; the objective wording for A Tale Yet Told and A Daunting Final Tale currently relies on a secondary guide rather than an independently checked individual quest page.
Store prices are preview data
The catalog includes reported datamined costs of 1, 3 or 5 Bound Silver for several decor items. A firsthand PTR player also warns that the shop costs looked like placeholders. These observations support a preview catalog, not a promise that an entire housing wishlist will cost that amount on live servers.
The clearest approach is to record the item you want, its current source and whether its price is a preview value. Do not turn one tester’s currency total into an expected hourly farm rate.
