Energy pays for repeatable actions

Many offensive and defensive actions spend Energy. The PTR help text identifies Energy-using abilities with a lightning-bolt marker and says the resource regenerates each second. This creates a cycle of spending on attacks, recovering, and keeping enough available for the next situation.

Evade briefly pauses Energy regeneration. Repeated evasive movement can therefore protect you while also delaying the resource needed for follow-up actions. The source does not provide a universal pause duration or a universal Energy cost; those depend on the actual action descriptions.

Focus pays for the stronger part of your kit

Focus does not ordinarily regenerate on its own. It can be replenished through potions, run-level augmentations and particular passive effects. Each blue pip on the interface represents 10 Focus. Maximum Focus is one of the attributes improved through the Outfitter.

A larger Focus capacity and a method of restoring Focus solve different problems. Capacity determines how much you can hold. Recovery determines whether you can pay for another powerful action later in the attempt.

The Pillow is a recovery effect, not a new Focus cap

Fairy Queen’s Pillow was reported to restore at least 20 Focus following combat. That describes a minimum amount recovered after a fight. It does not mean your total Focus becomes exactly 20, that your maximum becomes 20, or that all Focus abilities become free.
