Attack sequences and movement are separate rules
The reviewed Brewing Storm and Purify tooltips describe three forward attacks with a stronger final strike and a longer final stun. Both root the player during execution. Other listed attacks allow movement, but they also select and damage enemies differently.
This comparison uses Talebound spell IDs. Purify is not being treated as the regular Priest dispel, and Brewing Storm is not the unrelated same-name Legion Remix effect.
| Ability | Class and spell ID | Targeting | Movement rule |

Brewing Storm and Purify have three stages
Their parent tooltips tie the stronger hit and longer stun to the final attack. They do not specify a verified duration for every stage, a complete combo damage formula or a universal rule for when the sequence resets. A cast that stops before its last stage should not be counted as a proven full sequence in a damage comparison.
Rooted execution describes the player’s movement state during these actions. It does not mean that every ability with a three-part animation follows the same rule, or that the recorded stun will affect every boss.

Thorn and Radiant Burst select targets differently
The Witch record is named Thorn in the singular, while Blizzard’s announcement uses Thorns. It describes eruptions under the two nearest enemies and allows movement. Keeping both names visible helps identify the Talebound entry when searching a database.
Radiant Burst is a moving Inquisitor attack with damage around the projectile’s impact. Its exact splash radius is not established by the reviewed tooltip. The two-nearest rule belongs to Thorn and should not be transferred to Radiant Burst merely because both can be used while moving.

Throwing Knives can cancel another attack
Throwing Knives rapidly moves the Slayer while hitting nearby enemies. Its description expressly permits canceling another attack in progress, and its record lists a twelve-yard cone. It does not supply an exact travel distance.
Attack cancellation is not the same as an enemy interrupt, and the movement does not by itself grant damage immunity. Use the dedicated defense reference when comparing Throwing Knives with shared Evade or guard mechanics.

Read the movement rule before the damage label
For these Talebound attacks, the immediate questions are whether you are rooted, how the action chooses a target and whether it can stop another attack. A weak-attack label in a tooltip is not a measured class ranking. Compare those concrete rules with the ability set in your client, then use the class reference for the other attacks available.
Frequently asked questions
Do all basic attacks let me move?
No. The reviewed Brewing Storm and Purify sequences root the player. The movement rule must be checked for each ability.
Does Throwing Knives interrupt an enemy spell?
The reviewed wording lets it cancel another attack the player is performing. That is not a general promise of enemy spell interruption.
Are Thorn and Thorns separate verified abilities?
The primary record uses Thorn, while Blizzard’s announcement uses Thorns. This reference identifies the specific PTR spell ID instead of assuming two separate abilities.
