Three summon attacks, three targeting patterns

Bubbling Cauldron, Winter Spiders and Moonlight Ravens all use creatures as attacks, but their target selection differs. Cauldron frogs choose random enemies nearby, spiders travel ahead, and ravens arrive through a channel aimed toward enemies in front. None of these descriptions establishes a controllable permanent pet.

Bubbling Cauldron releases frogs over time

The Cauldron tooltip describes a nine-second release window. Frogs leap toward a randomly selected enemy within thirty yards and explode around it. That is a random-target rule, not a promise that every frog will choose the enemy you want to focus.

The reviewed parent tooltip provides the release window but leaves the total frog count unverified.

Winter Spiders travel ahead of the Witch

Winter Spiders send a swarm twenty-five yards forward. The brood mother detonates when she reaches an enemy, dealing area damage. The record lists a forty-Energy cost, but it does not supply a tested damage formula, spider count or backward movement effect.

Forward travel distinguishes this action from the Cauldron’s random target selection. The description does not establish a ground-targeting cursor or the ability to steer a persistent swarm after release.

Moonlight Ravens channel while moving

Holding Moonlight Ravens sustains a channel that sends another flock each second. Individual ravens damage an area around their victims, and the tooltip expressly allows movement during channeling. Its record lists a twenty-five-yard cone.

The Energy header lists 45 Energy to begin and 35 Energy per second. These are recorded PTR fields rather than a measured total expenditure. This wiki has not measured Energy regeneration or partial channel ticks, and no fixed raven count per flock is established.

How the summons connect to Coven

Coven explicitly names hits from these three abilities as triggers for its similar follow-up attacks. That provides a documented relationship to look for when reading Witch talents. It does not by itself supply an optimized rotation, a copied-damage percentage or a ranking of the three summon spells.

Frequently asked questions

Can I move while channeling Moonlight Ravens?

Yes, movement during the channel is explicitly allowed by the linked PTR tooltip.

Do Cauldron frogs always attack my selected target?

The record describes a random enemy within thirty yards. It does not promise selected-target focus.

Do the listed Energy numbers establish a total channel cost?

No. The raven record gives an initial and per-second cost, but this wiki has not measured regeneration, partial ticks or practical expenditure.
