Explosive Shot rewards a longer commitment

Explosive Shot is a forward shotgun attack that can be held to empower it. The individual record describes a twenty-five-yard cone and says a longer empowerment increases damage. Nearby enemies can receive more than one projectile from the blast.

The tooltip allows movement while casting. It does not state a pellet distribution or a final damage curve, so the record cannot support a precise range-based multiplier or an optimal hold time.

Minefield creates space and a temporary hazard

Minefield jumps the Slayer backward while throwing mines forward in a ten-yard arc. The mines remain for five seconds, and their damage applies a three-second slow. The linked record lists fifty Energy.

The attack shape is the forward mine arc, not a measured backward leap distance. Its description does not establish the number of mines, the slow percentage or immunity during the movement. Keep those questions separate from the directly described jump and trap effects.

Why Shrapnel Round has conflicting descriptions

Blizzard’s announcement describes bouncing rounds. Spell 1326755 instead describes a single round piercing ahead, with a three-second stun on the nearest enemy and preference for silver enemies. These are distinct descriptions, and the available records do not establish which version is active for every current talent setup.

The official ability checklist keeps the announcement’s description. This detailed page exposes the individual PTR record so a player can identify the difference by ID. It does not silently replace the official behavior or assume that every enemy can be stunned.

Use the firearms reference alongside movement tools

The concrete choices to compare are a moving empowered cone, a backward jump that leaves mines ahead, and the Shrapnel variant shown in your client. That is enough to understand the recorded button behaviors without inventing a best Slayer build.
