What cooperative play changes
Blizzard presents Talebound as playable solo or with friends. The important mechanical difference in the PTR help is a shared pool of Soul Wards. A defeat that consumes one Ward reduces the remaining pool for the whole party, rather than only changing a personal extra-life counter.
Positioning during a rescue
The rescue area changes your immediate objective. Chasing a distant target can take you away from the fallen player. A ranged moving action, a stun against an eligible enemy or a timed Evade can help manage the situation while remaining nearby. Those are applications of the documented systems, not a tested encounter-specific group composition.
Combat calls worth sharing
| Call | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| No Wards left | The next defeat may need a timed proximity rescue |
| Yellow cast | A damaging hit can interrupt unless Control Immune is active |
| Grey cast | Damage alone does not interrupt; determine whether control can work |
| Gold enemy | Do not build the rescue plan around staggering or stunning it |
| Low Focus | This resource does not ordinarily regenerate passively |
Do not assume every progression detail is party-wide
The report explicitly calls Soul Wards shared and official information calls Bound Silver Warband-bound. Those two statements do not establish that every upgrade currency, temporary augmentation or chest reward is pooled identically. Each player should review their own post-run results and village options.
