Set up an action you can repeat and a defense you can reach

Talebound asks you to aim attacks and react while moving. Before entering a story, find the repeat-casting option and choose an Evade binding you can press without leaving your movement controls. The reproduced PTR help says Press and Hold Casting is enabled by default: holding a bind repeatedly attempts that ability. You can disable it in Options.

A held input is not the same as a new cooldown or a free cast. Your ability still needs its required resource and a valid opportunity to execute. If an action seems unresponsive, compare its resource icon with your current Energy or Focus before concluding that the bind is broken.

Four potion slotsDistinguish a consumable slot from the class ability bar; available potions still depend on the run and progression.

Evade, Guard and double jump are separate inputs

The client help reproduced in the report describes Evade as an action cancel as well as a defense. A reachable bind matters when an attack is already underway: leaving the action running and trying to move is a different response from actively canceling it with Evade. Check your remaining charges before using the next dodge as a plan.

Space is the reported default double-jump key in that test. It does not establish a complete permanent keyboard preset for every client or control device. Guard is a held defensive action; it should not be confused with the passive Dodge Chance stat.

Camera and navigation: what the sources actually show

Medievaldragon’s Normal-mode report describes no map or minimap and a restricted camera zoom range. A separate October 31 feedback thread by Astralic discusses aiming and camera movement. Those observations explain why an unfamiliar area may feel harder to read than an ordinary WoW zone; they do not establish an official fix or prove the same limits remain in every later build.

Use the named village landmarks and the Book of Shadows route in the Quillgrave guide while comparing the interface on your current client. We have not verified a supported controller preset, an FOV setting or a complete replacement keymap. Community workarounds remain attributed suggestions.

Frequently asked questions

Does holding a key bypass resource costs?

No such rule is established. The help describes repeating ability attempts, while Energy and Focus remain separate requirements.

Is this a complete default keybinding list?

No. Space for double jump is reported, but the sources do not establish every default bind or a supported controller layout.

Are camera complaints an official bug notice?

No. They are attributed PTR observations and player feedback, not a developer-confirmed issue list.
