Hold Guard through the impact

The two player-action tooltips describe a channeled Guard action that prevents some incoming attack damage and covers most loss-of-control effects while held. Both show up to 4 damage in the indexed examples. The character interface also exposes a Guard stat; the records do not establish a universal mitigation amount.

Match the response to the attack

The defenses help entry gives separate examples for avoiding damage and breaking casts.

Check the Guard value you see

When sharing a Guard number, record the build and the character’s Guard value. This makes a tooltip observation useful when another player sees a different number.
