A flying book for a battle pet
Hexed Tiny Tome is listed as a bind-on-pickup toy, item 288899. Its tooltip describes letting a targeted battle pet accompany you on an enchanted flying book. That effect changes how the pet follows you; it does not describe learning a new pet species or adding a player-ridable mount.
This distinction matters if you are collecting Talebound’s book-themed rewards. Shadowbound Storybook is the player mount announced by Blizzard. Hexed Tiny Tome belongs to a different collection type and has a different recorded unlock objective.
